The sessions include presentations on upcoming mandates, operational considerations pertaining to specific systems, and deep-dive discussions on new technologies. Most importantly, the pilot breakout sessions give pilots a chance to speak one-on-one with Honeywell program pilots to gain a better understanding of their avionics.
Honeywell operator conferences are held worldwide, including the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. All conferences held in the U.S. and several abroad include a pilot breakout session. From the first breakout session of the year in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the most recent in Lijiang, China, Honeywell program pilots are traveling worldwide, reaching out to nearly 220 pilots so far this year.
Breakout sessions for 2013 have included discussions on worldwide Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) mandates, Future Air Navigation System (FANS 1/A) and Protected Mode-Controller Pilot Data Link Communication (PM-CPDLC) technologies, and Required Navigation Performance (RNP-AR) authorizations. Flight Technical Services program pilots also cover a variety of topics specific to Honeywell avionics platforms and answered individual questions from pilots.
Don’t miss out – the Honeywell Technical Services team will host a pilot breakout session as part of the Honeywell-sponsored Operator Conference in Dallas, Texas, on September 11. A complete schedule and registration information can be found on the Flight Technical Services Events and Training Calendar.
Pilots who can’t make it to an operator conference breakout session have many opportunities throughout the year to participate in live webinars. Visit the Events and Training Calendar to view the complete schedule.
